James Hyde
Managing Director
James joined Forrester-Hyde full time on 6 October 2003, has achieved his Diploma in Financial Planning and is closing in on Chartered status. James assumed the role of Managing Director on 1 December 2018, is Head of Corporate Client and sits on the Investment Committee.
Matthew Barber
Chief Executive
Matt joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 November 1988 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. Alongside being Chief Executive Officer of Forrester-Hyde, Matthew is also Head of Private Client and chairs the Investment Committee.
James Dear
Director
James joined Forrester-Hyde on 16 July 2007 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. James advises both Corporate and Individual Clients and sits on the Investment Committee.
Jonathan Gray
Financial Adviser
Jonathan joined Forrester-Hyde on 29 March 1999 and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Financial Planner. Jonathan specialises in Retirement Planning and works closely with Mike Robinson on all aspects of Technical Pension and sits on the Investment Committee.
Howard Imbert
Director
Howard joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 August 1995 and achieved the Diploma in Financial Planning, and is close to attaining Chartered Status. Before joining Forrester-Hyde, Howard worked at UNUM Limited, a leading provider of Corporate Risk Benefits. Howard is mainly involved in the research, recommendation and ongoing servicing of Corporate Risk Benefit Schemes, and also working alongside Jan Burton, sourcing and recommending Individual Financial Protection and Mortgages.
Jan Burton
Risk & Mortgage Adviser
Jan joined Forrester-Hyde on 7 August 2006 and works with Howard Imbert in the management of our Corporate Risk Schemes. In addition, having worked for eleven years with HSBC and Barclays as a Mortgage Adviser, lends her significant expertise as a Mortgage Adviser and in the administration of Individual Protection.
Ray Turner
Financial Adviser
Ray joined Forrester-Hyde on 21 August 2017, after graduating from the University of Exeter with a First Class degree in History and Politics. Ray has since achieved the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is at present working towards Chartered Status. Ray will support and learn from our team of advisers as part of his training programme.
Grant Gushlow
Trainee Financial Adviser
Grant joined Forrester-Hyde on 9th September 2019. He has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, having worked for M&G, Aviva and Metlife during that time. Grant has achieved the CFA Investment Management Certificate and the Diploma in Financial Planning. At present, he is working towards Chartered Status. Grant will support and learn from our team of advisers as part of his training programme.
Lauren Plumley
Trainee Financial Adviser
Lauren joined Forrester-Hyde on 3rd July 2019. After graduating from the University of Surrey with a degree in Law, she spent 2 years working in administration for Defined Benefit schemes. Lauren is currently studying towards her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and is supporting our team of advisers as part of her training programme.

Our Investment Team

Jakob Payne
Investment Manager
Jakob joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 July 2014 and holds Chartered Financial Planner status through the Chartered Insurance Institute. Alongside this, he has obtained both the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management, awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, and CFA Investment Management Certificate. Jakob manages our Model Portfolios and sits on the Investment Committee.
Henry Ince
Investment Analyst
Henry joined Forrester-Hyde on 18th June 2019, after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a First Class degree in Economics. Henry has begun studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Henry works alongside Merisa in supporting Jakob, our Investment Manager. Henry provides research, due diligence and analysis required to run our investment portfolios.
Merisa Kozoglu
Trainee Investment Analyst
Merisa joined Forrester-Hyde on 21st January 2019. Merisa graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Education Studies and has begun studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Merisa, in tandem with Henry, supports Jakob in the research and analysis required to run our investment portfolios.

Amber joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 October 2012 and is currently working towards her Certificate in Financial Planning. Amber’s time is currently split between supporting our team of advisers, working primarily alongside James Hyde and James Dear, and assisting in the day to day running of our Client Portfolios.

Alison joined Forrester-Hyde on 6 July 1992 and holds the Certificate in Financial Planning. Alison has extensive experience in supporting our team of advisers, particularly in relation to SIPP and SSAS Property related aspects of Retirement Planning.

Meryl joined Forrester-Hyde on 1 March 2017 and is currently working towards her Certificate in Financial Planning. Meryl provides full support to our team of advisers for all pension and investment related tasks.

Julie joined Forrester-Hyde on 9 October 1989 and has achieved the Certificate in Financial Planning. Julie works in tandem with Cheryl in the management of Corporate Pension Schemes.

Cheryl joined Forrester-Hyde on 28 March 1994 and specialises in the administration of Corporate Pension Schemes, working alongside Julie Darby. Cheryl also assists Gill, our Company Secretary, with the finances of Forrester-Hyde.
